Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies

If your answers were an emphatic "YES" to both those questions then you're going to adore this wonderful recipe I discovered on Pinterest.

It's simple, delicious, and red-perfect for Valentine's Day for sure - but after having whipped up my first batch - I'm certain I'll be making them all year round.

Brownie Batter Ingredients

1 box of red velvet cake mix

1 stick of butter, melted

3 tbsp of vegetable oil

2 eggs

For the Cream Cheese Topping

1, oz. package of cream cheese, at room temperature

⅓ cup of sugar

1 egg

1 tsp. vanilla extract





Preheat the oven to 350° - Grease and flour a 9X9 pan

red velvet cheesecake prepared by RosieIn a bowl combine cake mix, melted butter, oil, and eggs- the batter should be very think.

Reserve ⅓ cup of batter mixed with 2 tbsp of water for the topping, and spread the rest into the 9X9 pan

In another bowl beat the cream cheese until light- add the sugar until combined.

Beat in egg until well blended, then add the vanilla.

Pour on top of brownie mixture and spread into an even layer.

Top the cheesecake layer with drops of the thinned out brownie batter.
(should look like A)

Use a toothpick to make pretty swirls. (should look like B)

Bake 20-25 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean.




You need to let cool completely before cutting - if you don't the brownie will stick to the knife.
