JORDAN POOLE – At Home Here in Nova Scotia

Occupation: Actor/Student

Place of Birth: Halifax, Nova Scotia

Currently Resides: Halifax, Nova Scotia

Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab something to eat?

I like the fish and chips at Stayner’s, but generally I try the chicken nuggets or chicken fingers from almost anywhere. I also like the Derby steak at Steak n Stein and my special request no-cheese pepperoni pizza from Metro Pizza.

Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab something sweet?

I stock up on Halloween! I like sour better – Freak Lunchbox has a lot of choice.

Where’s your favourite place to shop in Nova Scotia?

I’m not a big shopper. I like EB Games for me and try to find a local craft for Christmas for my Nans.

Where in Nova Scotia would we stand to see your favourite view?

Anywhere with an ocean view. I like the old military works at Point Pleasant Park and on George’s Island.

Name 3 things we’ve gotta do when we visit Nova Scotia:

1. In Halifax, check out the Harbour Hopper, the waterfront boardwalk, Citadel and Town Clock, and the Hydrostone Market/Needham Park area

2. For views and road trips, after Cabot Trail and Peggy’s Cove, drive to Chester, Mahone Bay and Oak Island along the coast, or along the Northumberland shore around Tatamagouche, River John, and Melmerby Beach

3. For history, check out Port Royal, then Fort Anne and Grand-Pré National Historic sites, or if you like your history really old, visit Joggins Fossil Cliffs UNESCO Site

What makes Nova Scotia such a special place on earth for you?

Nova Scotia is my home. My family and friends are here. I like the mix of new tech and old history.
