At long last!!!

We're so pleased to write... Michael Melski's thriller THE CHILD REMAINS is set to hit the big screen here in Halifax.

The feature which filmed in the province back in December of 2015 feels like a long time coming - especially for us Allan Hawco fans.

THE CHILD REMAINS takes FIN's prestigious Friday night Gala Screening spot at the 2017 Atlantic Film Festival - playing at the September 15th at 6:30. Both Mr.Melski and Mr.Hawco will be in attendance along with Nova Scotia's own Shelley Thompson.

Festival Experience passholders and THE CHILD REMAINS Gala Ticket Holders are invited to an exclusive post party at Casino Nova Scotia's  spectacular Compass Room.

Film Synopsis

An expectant couple’s intimate weekend turns to psychological terror when they discover their secluded country inn is a haunted maternity home where unwanted infants and mothers were murdered. Inspired by the true horrific story of the infamous ‘Butterbox Babies’ and their macabre chapter in Atlantic history, THE CHILD REMAINS is a twisting supernatural thriller that emphasizes story and suspense over shock and gore. A tribute to great atmospheric horror before the jump-scare cliche, such as The Shining, Rosemary’s Baby, and The Orphanage, the film had its world premiere at the Shanghai International Film Festival in June. Featuring stunning performances from Cannes Best Actress winner Suzanne Clement (Mommy), Allan Hawco (Frontier), Shelley Thompson (Labyrinth) and genre hero Geza Kovacs (Scanners, The Dead Zone). Written, directed and co-produced by award-winning NS filmmaker Michael Melski (Growing Op, Perfume War) and produced by Craig Cameron (The Corridor, Touch and Go).
