Where’s your favourite place in Newfoundland & Labrador to grab a coffee?

It’s a toss-up between Fixed and Rocket Bakery

Where’s your favourite place in Newfoundland & Labrador to grab a pint?

Yellow Belly. I love that St. John’s Stout.

Where’s your favourite place to shop in Newfoundland & Labrador?

I’m not much of a shopper, but when I do go out I like to visit Duckworth and Water Street. Fred’s Records is my favourite (for obvious reasons).

Where in Newfoundland & Labrador would we stand to see your favourite view?

Whenever I’m traveling across the island I almost always stop at the Irving on the highway at Clarenville and take a look down the hill. The view of the houses, greenery, and water below is pretty refreshing, especially at sunset! I might be the only person that gets this feeling from that particular view, but I love it.

Name 3 things we’ve gotta do when we visit Newfoundland & Labrador:

1. Hike Gros Mourne

2. Have a bagel from Georgetown Bakery (if you can get there early enough)

3. Stop in at Mom and Dad’s in Norris Arm for coffee and lunch

What makes Newfoundland & Labrador such a special place on earth for you?

I always say that Newfoundland & Labrador is many different worlds in one. You can drive from one end to the other (or of course all the way up to the big land), and note the vast difference in the scenery, people’s accents, and general way of life. In many ways we are still our own country, with our own little mini-identities from place to place. It feels like you’d never run out of people and places to learn about and explore.
