Chris Lorway – No Place Like Home in Nova Scotia
Occupation: Arts Administrator
Place of Birth: Sydney, NS
Currently Resides: Toronto, ON
Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a coffee?
Wentworth Perk on George St in Sydney. (I'm now gluten free so sadly not able to have their amazing cinnamon rolls anymore.)
Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a pint?
Given I can't drink beer (see above), the only pint I enjoy on a regular basis is a pint of ice cream. So I would have to say Cows on the harbourfront in Halifax.
Where’s your favourite place to shop in Nova Scotia?
We love to collect original pieces for our home so I frequent the galleries around the province. Just bought two lovely photos at the Anderson Gallery in Lunenburg.
Where would we stand to see your favorite view?
So many choices in Cape Breton. I usually drive home via St Peter's so love the view from the top of the hill before descending into Irish Cove.
Name 3 things we’ve gotta do when we visit Nova Scotia:
1. Frolic in the ocean
2. Eat a ton of oatcakes
3. Take in a traditional square dance
What makes Nova Scotia a special place on earth for you?
I love that in almost every home a piano is a standard piece of furniture.
