COLIN MacDONALD on THE TREWS 10 Years et al.

Posted: May 22, 2014

When Sea and be Scene TV traveled to Toronto in search of "East Coast Folks & Kindred Spirits" this past March we were thrilled to meet up with Antigonish, NS native Colin MacDonald.

For over a decade now he's been the front man of the award winning, hit making rock group The Trews, so it was more than cool to get his perspective on everything from making their new record to big city livin'.  Of course we talked about the homeland too and we know how awesome it will be for the fellas to bring their new material to Nova Scotia this week.

They'll play the Marque in Halifax or Friday, May 23 and Champions in Truro on Saturday, May 24 - not surprisingly both shows were sold out in a heartbeat.

THE TREWS - THE TREWSThe new self-titled CD THE TREWS marks the 10 year milestone for the band and the hits just keep on coming.  The album released on April 22 debuted at #1 on the Hard Rock, Alternative and Indie charts and their lead single "What's Fair is Fair" was an instant add across the nation.

After the two shows here in Nova Scotia and one more in Ontario, The Trews will head south for a tour through the States - but we're looking forward to more Atlantic Canadian dates before too long and we'll be sure to keep you posted on that front as soon as we hear anything. We're grateful we caught up to Mr. MacDonald while he had a smidge of downtime - it'll be full steam ahead for a long time to come! SABS
