Place of Birth: Saint John NB

Currently Resides: Rothesay NB

Where’s your favourite place in New Brunswick to grab a coffee?

Java Moose in the heart of Rothesay NB. As a work from home person I love heading to this local Java joint where I have the opportunity to connect with real people....I am a social butterfly by nature and I get to flit about.

Where’s your favourite place in New Brunswick to grab a pint?

One of the things I like about grabbing a pint is having a nibble with it, and the best place in NB for this is the Saint John Alehouse.

Where’s your favourite place to shop in New Brunswick ?

Shopping...I am not a fashionista and spend very little time shopping for clothing. However, I am addicted to reading and I DO spend a lot of time at Indigo Book Store in Saint John...there is nothing like the feel of a new book and the anticipation of the journey of words.

Where in New Brunswick would we stand to see your favourite view?

You would be standing on the beach in St Martin’s NB looking out at Nova Scotia on the horizon, tasting the salt sea spray and feeling the powerful waves hitting the shores of this amazing magical place. This is also the place that the skipper proposed to me.

Name 3 things we’ve gotta do when we visit New Brunswick:

1. Visit the Hopewell Rocks in Alma NB

2.  Have lunch and a pint under an umbrella outside on a sunny summer day at the Saint John Alehouse. I highly recommend the Chicken tenders...YUMMY!

3. Kayak or Canoe on any of the amazing waterways in NB and you will know why it is called the Picture Province.

What makes New Brunswick such a special place on earth for you?

It is more than the combination of the beautiful scenery and salt sea air...the secret sauce in New Brunswick would have to be the people. It is the only place in the world where you can look someone you see on the street in the eye and smile and not be worried about getting mugged...sounds funny but this in my New Brunswick and I call it HOME!

  1. And Elaine is such a strong supporter of all things New Brunswick. Her program Simply Zen TV is methodically highlighting many of the wonderful attributes in Saint John and Surrounding area that focus/support a better sense of well being. Sea Belles, Atlantic Canada's number one women's a cappella chorus, is thrilled to be part of her programs in May. Her energy is infectious! Finding this website is just another example of her determination to spread the good news about our province. Thank you Elaine for sharing!
