An Out Of This World Event Comes To Newfoundland

If you like science fiction, fantasy or just plain fun, you can't miss the 7th annual Sci-Fi On the Rock convention taking place April 26 to 28 in St. John's, Newfoundland.

Recently SABS interviewed long-time event organizer Darren Hann who expressed his profound affinity for STAR TREK, science fiction, fantasy and all the great things that make Sci-Fi On The Rock a truly wonderful gathering.

Darren will join with his fellow organizers to put on yet again a not-to-be-missed spectacular occasion. Scheduled guests will include: Dominic (Lt. Malcom Reed) Keating (Star Trek Enterprise), Mike Dopud (Battlestar Galatica, Stargate Universe, Smallville, and more), Gary Jones (Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and more), Dean Haglund (The X-Files, The Lone Gunmen, and more) and Ginny McQueen (Model, Cosplay fan, and more)

What makes this event even more special is the wide variety of milestones to be celebrated. For example, attendees can to attend a DR.WHO Luncheon to honor the 50th anniversary of the longest running science-fiction television show.

Special guest Dominic Keating heralds the arrival of the STAR TREK ENTERPRISE TV show on Blu-ray for the first time. Both new and long-time fans will no doubt be sharing their thoughts about the upcoming STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS movie coming to North American theatres in just a few weeks.

Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities all designed to captivate and entertain sci-fi fans of all ages including:  Breakfast with Vader & Friends, Film Festival, Geek Survivor, International Film Festival, Star Trek Luncheon, Star Trek: Reliant panel, Dealers, Charity Auction, Workshops, Artists' Alley and much more
