The Crow’s Nest (a private club where I’m a member) The Nest is very British, historic and quiet.

Any heated mall and, in summer, Water St.

Signal Hill overlooking St. John’s or the Atlantic Ocean.

Name 3 things I’ve got to do when I visit Newfoundland & Labrador:

1. Eat Jiggs’ dinner, fish and brewis, scrunchions, cod tongues.

2. Eat bakeapples, blueberries, partridgeberries, drink Black Horse ale.

3. Visit Signal Hill, the Rooms and see a show at the L.S.P.U. Hall.
