Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a coffee?

For coffee, Just Us on Spring Garden Road. But I’ve also  recently discovered David’s Tea and it’s my new favourite place. There are so many amazing teas and the staff are so passionate about tea – I love it there!

Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a pint?

The Old Triangle, Halifax. We sometimes take the staff there after a long day at work and it’s great.

Where’s your favourite place to shop in Nova Scotia?

It’s probably a tie between Mills and In a Box, both in downtown Halifax. Both have great products and wonderful customer service!

Where in Nova Scotia would we stand to see your favourite view?

I absolutely love walking along the boardwalk on our waterfront and looking out onto the ocean. In the summer, I also enjoy watching the sailboats weaving in and out of the water. It makes you feel like you’re truly in the Maritimes.

Name 3 things we’ve gotta do when we visit Nova Scotia:

1. Visit The Halifax Club! It’s one of the oldest Clubs in North America. Take a tour or a walk through - you have to experience this iconic building and the history of Nova Scotia within it!

2. Go to Pier 21 – experience what it would have been like to be an immigrant arriving here. They have an amazing 3-D presentation that is a must see!

3. Peggy’s Cove – everyone has to experience looking out at the water from Peggy’s Cove at least once in their lifetime.

What makes Nova Scotia such a special place on earth for you?

Nova Scotia has everything. It’s the perfect blend of small town and big city. We also have the most talented people here, whether it’s arts, music, business or academia, plus the people have such charm. I like that no matter where you are in Nova Scotia, there is always a beautiful view of the water and landscape and you always get to meet the most interesting people. We also have the most amazing weather; four unique seasons with wonderful things to experience during each one.

You can really do it all in Nova Scotia!
