At Home with Shanneyganock

Post: December 15, 2001

For the last 15 years - thousands and thousands of folks have enjoyed the amazing music of NL band Shanneyganock at every kind of venue from arenas to concert halls to local bars…but we had the wonderful good fortune of sitting down for a cup of tea and conversation with the two founding members at the breakfast bar in lead singer Chris Andrew’s home.  chris andrews

Cool right?  And relaxed for sure – as we gained a new perspective on the fellas and enjoyed a great view of Logy Bay.  We talked about how it all started, life on the road and their love of Newfoundland and Labrador.

A message they proudly deliver in all of their shows. Matter of fact - you can now enjoy their high octane, rip roaring great time on stage in your very own home – as Shanneyganock - Live on George Street is available in CD and DVD…just in time for Christmas.(hint, hint)

mark hiscockWhile it’s a blast to watch ‘em live – it sure was a treat to hear just how Mark Hiscock began his musical career, and how the two of these great talents first merged to make great music…and get the scoop on the ‘best fish in chips’ in the Province. A lovely morning indeed.

We thank you Chris Andrews and Mark Hiscock – and we salute you!!! If you’re ever touring near our place – just give us a call and we’ll put the kettle on! SABS

  2. In my time in the Navy always enjoyed entertainment on George St., At least now the new generation of sailors can check out your site before going over and look up good performances at a good price.

    All the best
