Tara Makes Tracks Towards Album #2

Tara Oram in PEI

Performing for the huge Saturday night crowd a the Cavendish Beach Music Festival

2010 has been an incredible year for one of SABS favourites.

Tara Oram NL has been giving it her all on stage performing with the likes of Dwight Yoakam – and warming up the 35,000 plus crowd at Cavendish Beach Music Festival just before Taylor Swift went on.  She’s also been giving so much of her time to great causes – taking part in the We Stand On Guard Igor Relief Benefit Concert in St.John’s, hosting her own benefit for the same effort in Ontario and continuing her wonderful work with the Cancer Care Foundation of Newfoundland & Labrador ...and now finally...she’s giving the fans what they’ve been wanting for some time now...Album #2.

Tara for Igor

A crowd favourite at the We Stand On Guard Igor Relief Benefit Concert in St. John's

Just back from The Factory Studios in Vancouver – Tara is well on her way  towards completing her sophomore project.  Thrilled to be working with amazing Canadian musicians and energized by an “instant chemistry” between artist and producer.  She’s working with one of the greats, John Ellis – a stellar engineer, arranger and producer – not to mention an accomplished song writer and musician.  Ellis has been at the helm for everyone from The Be Good Tanyas to Jeremy Fisher and Barney Bentall.

Tara wrote us this note when we asked her about her studio sessions...

“John really took the time to listen to what I wanted and what I was really about. I'm very proud of the realness, instrumentation and vibe that this new album will have. I really just went back to the music that I grew up on and kept that in mind. What inspired me, I want to inspire others with. Hopefully that translates well this 2nd time around. It's a blessing to do what I do and I don't take a day for granted. Thank you fans. Thank you to my team. Txo”

Tara's constant companion Jake was there for the sessions..."getting in on the mix of things"

With no official date set yet, the plan as it stands is a spring/summer release – just so you know...we can’t wait! SABS
