More Than I Bargained For – Inverness Village Market, NS

Oh how I love a bargain!   What a great discovery the Cottage Closet Used Clothing in Inverness, NS.  We travelled down off Highway 19 to get a better shot of the ocean’s surf and as luck would have it...just $6 later...and I owned an awesome green sweater and a sweet polar fleece, made two new friends and discovered a wonderful spot just next door for one of kind goods on Cape Breton Island.

Clare Pothier & Cindy O'Neill lead the team and meet all who visit with warm smiles...and lovely things!!!

Located on Lower Railway Street, The Inverness Village Market features both local and summer resident vendors who handcraft, farm grow and buy & sell great goods. From knitted pieces to beach glass jewellery, scenic paintings to breathtaking photography, fashionable purses and scarves, cozy quilts and more...

Everyone is invited to check out the market for free and as the sponsoring organization for the 20+ week event, the Inverness Cottage Workshop also has a table where they sell baked goods, their famous pizza subs and homemade seafood chowder.

The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming, and while you're there you can check out the Inverness Miners Museum which is located next door.
