Place of Birth: Halifax, NS

Currently Resides: Halifax, NS

Occupation: Journalist, Author and Owner, “Groundhog Productions,” University Instructor, Mount Saint Vincent University

Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a coffee?

I don’t drink coffee very often – but I grab a tea @ Starbuck’s

Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a cocktail?

Wine at Da Maurizio

Where’s your favourite place to shop in Nova Scotia?

Envy, Turbine, Moda and the Saturday Market

Where in Nova Scotia would we stand to see your favourite view?

Purcell’s Cove –up a hiking trail behind the site of the old Dalhousie School with my daughter or at Carter’s Beach –hike to the third beach

Name 3 things I’ve gotta do when I visit Nova Scotia:

1. Go to Summerville Beach and body board, or, drive the Cabot Trail.

2. Shop at the Saturday Market and buy fresh croissants, cheese and treats and have a picnic at The Dingle park.

3. Eat anything at Da Maurizio but do have the crème brulee. It is the best in the city.

What makes Nova Scotia such a special place on earth for you?

The people are the nicest on the planet.  Living by the ocean is not an option; it’s a must for me, and, the national historic site of Grand Pre’...my roots are Acadian.

  2. Hi Janice

Was thrilled to see you on CTV this evening. Can't wait to read the book about your dad. He was a great guy even without the "Bravery Medal". How is Theresa?? Couldn't believe that Laura is 13. Miss the contact, but love to everyone. Leona

  4. Janice,
As one who was in on the beginnings of the CISM program for Halifax Fire, I would really enjoy speaking with you of you have the time.
Live in Lunenburg in what is known as "retirement" which means full day's work most days.
Would like to know, too, if you are related to Capt. Larry Landry and where he is now. Spent the past years in Ottawa so have been woefully out of touch with old friends.
