A Sweet Release...

Posted: Tuesday, April 30, 2019

The Larlee Creek Hullabaloo is celebrating its twelfth year with more shows, more styles and as always the best talent from Atlantic Canada and beyond. Held in beautiful Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, the festival is known for its incredible hospitality and up-close-and-personal experiences for fans and musicians alike.

Juno Award-winning folk-rock trio Elliott Brood, will make their first-ever appearance at the festival, and lead an all-star roster including East Coast favourites, Dave Gunning, J.P. Cormier, P.E.I. song bird Rachel Beck ft. Atlantic String Machine, vivacious and multi-award winning Christina Martin, powerhouse Dave Sampson, songwriting hero Ian Janes, and adopted son and harpmaster, Steve Marriner.

And that's not all! There’s the youthful blues duo Earle and Coffin who prove that acoustic blues is alive and well in the next generation, hot new indie folk group Villages, the soulful sounds of Jessie Brown, local boy-turned-world traveller Tommy Green Jr., and hot off her debut album release, Leanne Hoffman. The Hullabaloo will also welcome back the beloved duo Hat Fitz and Cara, from Australia.  Terry Whalen, Dan Doiron, and Kendra Gale will also be back bringing the gift of music to 20 local youth participating in the 2019 Rock n’ Roll Boot Camp.

Don't forget all the wonderful community events and surprise pop-up concerts throughout the village running Wednesday through Sunday. They include the free Picnic In The Park with festival stars Rachel Beck, Villages, and Cameron Nickerson, and the supper show at Railcar Brewing with Dave Sampson and Steve Marriner. More headliners will be at the Farmer's Market Saturday, there are River Cruise shows on the St. John, and lots of kids music and activities at the Family Stage. Free Festival Workshops include Songwriting with Tommy Green, Jr., String Benders with guitar heroes Steve Marriner, Dan Doiron and Terry Whalen, and Hear Me Roar: Strong Songs, Strong Women with Jesse Brown and Kendra Gale. And of course, the yearly highlights are the Little Hullabaloo and the Big Hullabaloo, on-stage jam sessions Saturday with many of the festival greats, where anything can happen.

Music fans love the incredible East Coast vibe the Hullabaloo offers, and in one of the most beautiful settings along the St. John River. This year's music guests offer a variety of genres and styles, including all manner of roots, blues, rock, pop, indiginous, folk and Celtic. They'll be appearing at a variety of stages throughout the week, from intimate workshops to outdoor picnics in the village, from all-star jams to main stage showcases on festival grounds. You'll also find food and beverage vendors, numerous family activities, and nearby camping; a perfect summer event that truly offers something for everyone.

About the Larlee Creek Hullabaloo:

The Larlee Creek Hullabaloo is a not-for-profit outdoor music festival held annually each August in the Village of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick. Their programming consists primarily of Atlantic Canadian musicians, with a marked spotlight on local and regional artists. In a community where very few live performance venues exist for local and regional artists, where citizens often have to leave the area to access and/or support the arts, the Larlee Creek Hullabaloo is deliberately designed to promote the work of local, regional (NB) and Atlantic Canadian artists.
