"Over the past 12 years, Kraft Hockeyville has helped communities rally together around their love of hockey, and keep alive the place that brings it all together – the local arena."

So how awesome is it that this 13th year proved to be very luck for the tiny town of Renous, New Brunswick (population 726)!

Nominations for the year honour opened on January 1st with thousands and thousands of testimonials being submitted from communities across the country - but something about the passion and sincerity of those from Renous struck a cord with the judges.  Read their amazing stories here.

Watch the video above and you note the effort to become Kraft Hockeyville as also a part of the healing journey for the Renous area following the death of young local hockey player Thomas Dunn and a way in which to honor his family, friends and team mates,

On March 16th Renous was included in the list of Top 4 Finalists announced - following which folks were able to vote on their favourite entry March 29th - 30th, with the winner being announced by NHL Commission Gary Bettman  during the Hockey Night in Canada on March 30th. WATCH here!

As the 2019 winner of the Kraft Hockeyville Renous will receive a $250,000 prize for arena upgrades and an NHL pre-season game to be played in the area.

Congratulations to EVERYONE involved!!! SABS
