Acadian Arts and Craft Day- West Pubnico
every week on Thursday

Mother Goose / French for Fun Program- Petit de Grat Library
Wednesdays
With Rachel MacGillivray & Louise Migneault every Wednesday from 10am-11:30am at the Petit de Grat Library in Petit de Grat, NS, for ages 0-6.  Program includes 2 stories (English & French), a light snack, a craft, children's songs, and ends with a musical exercise game. Please contact the Petit de Grat Library at (902) 226-3534 or email [email protected] for more information.

 

15th Annual Pre-Shrunk Show - Argyle Fine Art, Halifax
Opens January 25 - February 16
The annual Pre-Shrunk show is by far one of Halifaxs favourite art shows and the perfect way to kick off the New Year in style. The only rule for participating artists is that all the works included must measure 4" x 5". Be there for the Opening Reception - for all the event details click here

For the Month of February
Every year, restaurants across the province showcase an array of Nova Scotia product and creativity at an attractive price during Dine Around. Running from February 1 - 28, various menus will be available starting at $25. Shubenacadie-SamGroundhog Day/World Wetland Day Celebration- Shubenacadie Wildlife Park
February 2

Celebrate February 2, Monday, 2014- Groundhog Day and World Wetlands Day, starting at 7:00 am with Shubenacadie Sam making his appearance and prediction at 8 am sharp. Will we have an early spring? Discover his message and have a free hot drink. Pictou Winter Carnival- various venues
February 7 -10

TAKE THE ROOF OF WINTER at the Pictou Winter Carnival. There will be many activities to enjoy such as coasting party, skating, a swimming, sleigh rides, snow sculpture contest, Great Canadian Kilt Skate and more. For a full event schedule and all the details click here.

By the Light of the Candle - Ross Farm
February 23 & 24
In the early 1800's the only source of light would have been by a candle. Many families would have had to make their own candles or else go with no light at all. Come join staff in making dipped candles just like the settlers would have done years ago. Click here for details
