Spirit of Newfoundland Dinner Theatre- St. John's

St. John’s Farmer’s Market
Saturday & Wednesday
The St. John's Farmers' Market operates Saturdays 9-4 and Wednesdays 2-8 at the St. John's Community Market space at 245 Freshwater Road.  All local products - made, baked or grown in Newfoundland and Labrador. Vegetables, meat, flowers, fruit/berries, jam/jelly, preserves, breads, bagels, cupcakes, mini donuts, chocolate, hot prepared international foods, waffles, art, photography, jewelry, clothing, craft, kids craft and toys, and lots more. Partridgeberry Festival- Iceberg Arena, Fogo Island

Showcasing partridgeberries and produce of Fogo Island. Farmers market, crafts, demonstration of traditional woodworking, quilting and rug hooking skills for young and old. The people of Fogo Island and Change Islands will show you how they feel about their heritage and why it's important to keep it alive. St. John's Storytelling Festival- various venues
October 9 - 15

Everyone loves a good story and The St. John’s Storytelling Festival is making sure that there’s always someone ready to tell one. We host a monthly storytelling circle, a yearly festival, plus workshops to keep local tellers in top form and give local listeners lots of chances to hear great tales. St. John's International Women's Festival
October 17- 21
A 5-day film festival that attracts industry professionals and film enthusiasts. About 80 films - documentaries, short films and feature works - will be screened. St. John's Christmas at the Glacier: Festival of Craft & Art- Mount Pearl
October 17 - 21
Please join us for the 26th annual 5 day Festival of Craft and Art as it will once again be an extravaganza of gift giving and personal shopping, featuring over 150 Craft producers, Artists and Gift-ware merchants from across Canada. Don’t forget to check out the 3rd floor Gallery and Elves Workshop for more space to shop, and lots more exhibitors. This year the Elves Workshop includes balloon tying, face painting and lots of tasty baked goods for the kids! Santa will be visiting throughout the show!
