Acadian Arts and Craft Day- West Pubnico

Queen of Hearts Dory Row & Ride- Clark’s Harbour
Tuesday Evenings All Summer
Learn to row a dory at the Cape Sable Island Causeway every Tuesday night all summer long. Whether you are a beginner or advance, you will take to the oars with a member of our Queen of Hearts Dory Club and learn and experience our seafaring history first hand.Check out the Facebook page for more details


Mother Goose / French for Fun Program- Petit de Grat Library
With Rachel MacGillivray & Louise Migneault every Wednesday from 10am-11:30am at the Petit de Grat Library in Petit de Grat, NS, for ages 0-6.  Program includes 2 stories (English & French), a light snack, a craft, children's songs, and ends with a musical exercise game. Please contact the Petit de Grat Library at (902) 226-3534 or email [email protected] for more information.


"Beaux Vendredis" lobster, clam & crab suppers
Every Friday until August 31
Locals and visitors alike love this experience for its informal atmosphere and delicious seafood. Locals freely offer to show visitors the "real" way to eat a lobster, while exchanging stories and laughs. All meals served with roll and melted butter. Live local music. Musique Royale! 32nd Summer Festival
runs until September 18
A cross-province festival established in 1985, Musique Royale brings performances of early and traditional music to settings of historic and cultural significance within communities throughout the province. St. John's Anglican Church, at the heart of old town Lunenburg - a UNESCO World Heritage site - is the primary venue for Musique Royale events. Musicians from the local, national and international concert stage perform in over 20 communities each July and August. Consult the website for more information.


Big Band on the Bandstand- Mahone Bay
Every Thursday in July & August
Concerts by the Mahone Bay Legion Swing Band. Every Thursday during July and August at 7pm. Bring a chair or dance on the grass.

Nicolas Denys Days- St. Peter’s
runs until August 5
Nicolas Denys Days is an action-packed, week-long festival held throughout the village of St. Peter's in Cape Breton. There is something for everyone, with activities including a poker walk, auction, children's day, a teddy bear picnic, deep fried turkey dinner and a village scavenger hunt.  The festival features live music every day of the week as well as a delicious chowder dinner that can not be missed! Festival De L'Escaouette- Cheticamp
August 2 - 5
Le Festival de l'Escaouette is the only Acadian summer festival in Inverness County. It is a celebration of Acadian culture and traditions in the Acadian region of Chéticamp. We hope these festivities will provide an opportunity to discover our cultural heritage, to renew old acquaintances and to develop closer bonds of friendship.
