A Sweet Release...

Posted: May 5, 2018

The Arts and Culture Centres will present The Ennis Sisters and Cherish the Ladies in a very special tour across the province from May 18 – 27.  The tour will mark the album release for The Ennis Sisters brand new album, KEEPING TIME, along with the first time that super-group Cherish the Ladies will perform in Newfoundland and Labrador.

When asked about the tour, The Ennis Sisters said, “We are beyond excited to share the new music from our forthcoming album KEEPING TIME, with the people of Newfoundland and Labrador! Cherish the Ladies are world class Celtic musicians and we are thrilled to have them join us on this incredible run of dates to share with them everything our beautiful province has to offer. Come out and join us for this family-friendly, spectacular evening of entertainment!”

An Evening with The Ennis Sisters, in spectacular concert with Grammy-nominated Cherish the Ladies, is one you will remember for years to come.

Together, these groups have toured the US, and as recently as February 2017 played to 2,000 patrons at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, Scotland. The Ennis Sisters, as Juno-winning ambassadors of the province, are proud to be releasing KEEPING TIME, an Alan Doyle-produced masterpiece of contemporary folk music that will live in the annals of Newfoundland music for years to come.

Cherish the Ladies, have 17 CDs, a US PBS special and collaborations with Don Henley, Vince Gill, Pete Seeger and Argo Guthrie (among others) to show for a stellar career that has spanned the globe since 1985.

“We are so excited to be the venues presenting the KEEPING TIME tour with The Ennis Sisters,” says Arts and Culture Centres Programming Manager Erin Barnhardt. “They are wonderful ambassadors for our province as they tour the world, and we are looking forward to these shows at home. I have also been receiving emails over the last couple of months from people exclaiming their delight about the Arts and Culture Centres bringing Cherish the Ladies to the province for the first time. For fans of theirs, it’s a dream come true!”
