Heritage Crafting Evenings- New Brunswick Museum, Saint John
Every Thursday evening
Some evenings will feature guest artists working on their own projects. Small fee of $2 per project, or bring your own supplies. Don’t miss these evenings of friendship and fun. Ages 14 to adult. Click here for more.

 

Frozen in Time - Capital Theatre Moncton
January 13
Join the Snow Queen as they retell the story of their magical journey through a winter adventure. They will be joined on stage by all their friends. This show is full of interaction, sing-a-longs, and surprises. It’s designed for young children but can be enjoyed by the whole family together. Oh Canada: A Young 150 - Saint John
January 14
NBYO Canada 150 Celebration Tour (featuring Howard Shore composition...with choir and soloist accompaniment. The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra has been celebrating Canada's 150th birthday all year long with commissions in music, writing, and art. During our 2017-18 concert season, we are visiting communities across the province and performing "Sea to Sea" our commissioned musical piece by Canadian composer Howard Shore and Elizabeth Cotnoir. This special song celebrates Canada's natural landscape and cultural diversity. Talented New Brunswick soloists and choral singers will perform with be performing with us. Come join the celebration! 2017 Shivering Songs Festival - Fredericton
January 18 - 21
A midwinter celebration of songwriting and storytelling, Shivering Songs hosts internationally renowned artists in rustic and historic spaces throughout Downtown Fredericton, New Brunswick. Originally conceived as a small folk music festival to celebrate the album release of local group The Olympic Symphonium, Shivering Songs has grown into a landmark cultural event that garners the attention of music and literary fans throughout Atlantic Canada and the Northeastern United States. Daphnis & Chloé de Jacques Offenbach
January 27 & 28
Atelier d'opéra de l'Université de Moncton |Capitol Theatre
The Atelier d’opéra de l’Université de Moncton talks about first love... This operetta sets gods and heros from the greek mythology such as Daphnis and Chloé in entertaining and funny scenes. These two young lovers will be distracted from their growing love for each other by the God Pan and the Bacchantes who all have their own interests at heart. Karène Chiasson will stage this full production with orchestra conducted by Tony Delgado. Lisa Roy is returning as artistic director.  Opera performed in French with English surtitles.
