With his many accordions, engaging presence and repertoire of children’s songs, Pendergast will present a mixture of songs, old songs that seem new and new songs that sound like they've been around. Popalopalots Live Improv Comedy- The Guild Main Stage
Every Friday
popalopalotsUtilizing a variety of improv games, The Popalopalots create scenes, characters, and situations all right on the spot based on audience suggestions. This can lead to awkward, compromising, and often hilarious outcomes. Join Sketch22 veterans Rob MacDonald and Graham Putnam, as well as their fellow comedians Jordan Cameron, Ben Hartley, Cameron MacDonald, and Dylan Miller as they perform never-before-seen and never-seen-again improvised sketches and scenes! Feast Dinners Theatres Present: CHRISTMAS IN NEW YORK - Rodd Charlottetown

Two unemployed buddies from the North Shore of PEI arrive in Manhattan on Christmas Eve to meet a cabaret showgirl one of them has been dating online. They soon find themselves wrapped up in some dangerous company and involved in nefarious dealings that could see them arrested, or worse. The plot of this hilarious romantic comedy plays out to the tune of your favourite holiday classics, popular chart toppers and Broadway showstoppers.

Choral Music Programme: Sing Noel- Homburg Theatre, Charlottetown
December 17
The Confederation Centre Youth Chorus celebrates the joy and spirit of the holiday season by performing classical and contemporary Christmas carols with one of the Island’s favourite sons, guest artist and powerhouse vocalist, Joey Kitson. Selections include ‘Ding, Dong Merrily on High,’ ‘The Star Carol,’ ‘O Holy Night,’ and many more -- all presented from the stunning Homburg Theatre mainstage.See more on the website.

 

Santa’s Angels Fundraiser- Gary’s Sequenced Christmas Lights, Johnstons River
runs until December 31
Come and see a house lit up with 3 thousand + lights dancing as they are sequenced with Christmas music. Santa’s Angels – a 100% volunteer-based group that provides a surprise Christmas morning to families in the Charlottetown area that are not able, for one reason or another, to provide Christmas gifts and food for their children. NEW YEARS EVE - Charlottetown
December 31
The free, family friendly event, Capital New Year – First Night 150, will take place on Great George Street with Province House as the backdrop, where the Fathers of Confederation first arrived and conceived the idea of Canada as a nation. The celebration will include stage performances, two pyrotechnic displays and indoor and outdoor entertainment. The evening will start with family-focused activities from 5:30 p.m. until approximately 7:45 p.m., but the party will continue until midnight with more adult oriented entertainment and a unique pyrotechnic show to help ring in the New Year.
