Kathryn Osborne'Tis the season.... and every year 'round this time Kathryn Osborne of Elmsdale Nova Scotia, makes this delicious candy treat to give as gifts to family and friends.

We can merrily report.... the recipients are never disappointed!

ingredients

edible gift1 cup real butter

¾ cup white sugar

1 cups chopped pecans (plus 3 tablespoons for the end)

1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips

method

In saucepan, melt (not boil) butter on low heat. Add sugar then turn up and bring to a boil for 2 minutes.

Add pecans then boil let mixture bubble on medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.

Pour onto greased cookie sheet and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the candy then top with the remainder of the pecans.

Put into the freezer for 10 minutes, then crack it and enjoy!
