Grandma Judique’s BUTTERSCOTCH PIE

Butterscotch Pie

Named after the lady responsible for the yummy creation – Grandma Judique’s Butterscotch Pie will be one you’ll want to make for your family too!

pie ingredients2

2 ½ cups of Milk

1 cup of brown sugar

½ cup of flour

1 tsp salt

2 egg yolks

2 ½ tbsp. of butter

1 tsp. Vanilla

1 pie shell


Using a double boiler, bring 2.5 cups milk to a boil.
Mix 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 half cup of flour, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
Add to milk and stir until smooth.
Remove a little of the pudding and add 2 egg yolks.
Add to the remainder of the pudding and double boiler.
Add 2 and 1 half tablespoons of butter.
Cook for a few minutes.
Remove from stove and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
Cool and put in pie shell.
Top with your favorite meringue.
