Acadian Arts and Craft Day- West Pubnico

Queen of Hearts Dory Row & Ride- Clark’s Harbour
Tuesday Evenings All Summer
Learn to row a dory at the Cape Sable Island Causeway every Tuesday night all summer long. Mother Goose / French for Fun Program- Petit de Grat Library
Wednesdays

Musique Royale! 32nd Summer Festival
runs until September 12
A cross-province festival established in 1985, Musique Royale brings performances of early and traditional music to settings of historic and cultural significance within communities throughout the province. St. John's Anglican Church, at the heart of old town Lunenburg - a UNESCO World Heritage site - is the primary venue for Musique Royale events. Musicians from the local, national and international concert stage perform in over 20 communities each July and August. Consult the website for more information.

 

"Beaux Vendredis" lobster, clam & crab suppers
Every Friday until September 4
Locals and visitors alike love this experience for its informal atmosphere and delicious seafood. Locals freely offer to show visitors the "real" way to eat a lobster, while exchanging stories and laughs. All meals served with roll and melted butter. Live local music. Festival of the Strait- Port Hawkesbury
runs until July 9th 2017
Enjoy this 5-day festival of events attracting local residents, former residents, neighboring communities and tourists from all over. This festival offers activities for all ages including adult pub nights, street parade, children's parade, children's activities (inflatables, organized games) and a firework display, just to name a few. Peggy's Cove Area Festival of the Arts- various venues
July 6 - 16
Primarily a “coastal festival’ - this is an early summer celebration of the wealth of artistic talent in an area just south of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The focal point is our beautiful St. Margaret’s Bay with its iconic Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse. Check out all the awesome activities 

N.E. Margaree Volunteer Fire Department Fun Days
July 8 - 9, 2017

Pictou Lobster Carnival- various venues
July 7 - 9
This three day festival celebrates the end of the fishing season in the area, Maritime culture and music. The event features musical entertainment at the main stage, a beer garden, the Pictou Lobster Carnival Parade, an antique car show, derby races, lobster boat races, a mid-way, a children's parade and many other activities for the whole family.

11th Annual Port Hood Annual Lobster Picnic
July 8
Come bring your whole family to the 9th Annual Lobster Picnic. Take a boat or zodiac tour to Port Hood Island or just sit back and listen to the Ceilidh, all while taking in our beautiful, breath taking scenery. Lots to do for the whole family, including children's games, horseshoe tournament, tug-of-war, boat tours, musical entertainment, a farmers market and of course delicious lobster! Whycocomagh Summer Festival

Situated at the head of the Bras d'Or Lakes, it is ideal for water activities, boat tours and ceilidhs featuring traditional Scottish and Mi'kmaq talent. 14th Annual Acoustic Maritime Music Festival- Peterson's Festival Campground, Kempt Shore

Founders Days - Shelburne Town Wharf
July 14-16, 2017
The Shelburne Longboat Society was specifically created to carry on the legacy and success of the Loyalist Landing 2008 celebrations.  Through this educational process, the Shelburne Longboat Society holds FREE "row & ride" sessions in Shelburne Harbour whereby the general public has the opportunity to go for a row or a ride in the longboats.  See website for complete schedule.

40th Annual NSDCC Summer Craft Show- Victoria Park

0th Annual NSDCC Designer Craft Show being held once again under the trees at Victoria Park. This is an incredible location, taking in the sites, sounds and smells of bustling Spring Garden Road, and just a stones throw from the Halifax Waterfront. 12-15,000 attendees peruse and purchase the work of the NSDCC's fine craftspeople each summer. Inverness Gathering- various venues

This lovely community by-the-sea celebrates their annual week long festival with fun for all ages. Dances, street parade, children’s activities, golf tournament, special art exhibit, princess pageant, casino night, fishermen’s picnic at the harbour, pancake breakfast, special horse races and much more. Something for the whole family! Take a stroll on the local boardwalk, beach comb for mermaid tears along the sandy beaches and experience some of Inverness County's awesome sunset's.
