Celebrate the Summer with The MURRICANE

Posted: July 22, 2011

It’s here – the Summer of Murray kicks off tonight in Halifax, Nova Scotia and in celebration of what is sure to be six weeks of fun fun fun…we’ve come up with a kickin’ cocktail called The Murricane.

Named in honour of the man himself and borrowing from Dan Aykroyd who gave Bill Murray that nickname many moons ago.

So enjoy responsibly and drink while simultaneously praying that Bill will join us for this summer spectacular…this Summer of Murray!!! SABS

Summer of MurrayThe MURRICANE

Freeze medium size martini glass

Freeze 3 oz of orange juice in a flexible plastic container (fresh is best, with pulp rocks, but your call)

Take the orange juice out of the freezer a few minutes before you’re ready to make (so it melts slightly)

Put frozen juice in the blender along with 1 more ounce of OJ to make it easier to blend until smooth

Pour into frozen glass and top with 1 ½ ounces (give or take) of Ironworks Blueberry Liqueur

Serve with a straw and enjoy!!!

(makes 1)
