Nova Scotia’s 2017 Canada Day Celebrations

FREE Fun in Louisbourg
The festivities will take place from 2:00-4:30pm at the S & L Railway Station in Louisbourg.  The opening ceremony features: Singing of O Canada, raising of the flag, birthday cake cutting, remarks by various special guests, along with children's games, activities, pony rides, face painting, free BBQ for all to enjoy, performance by local entertainment and more! We hope you can join us as we celebrate Canada's 150th Birthday!

CANADA 150 Celebrations in Greenwood
7:30am - 10pm
A Multi-Community CELEBRATION Canada: 150 and Beyond!  Everyone is invited to celebrate Canada’s sesquicentennial birthday, together at Greenwood Civic Field. Day-long events will feature activities and entertainment for all ages and highlight the rich history of our region within Canada. For more information click here.

Fort Anne National Historic Site Canada Day Celebrations
Celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday at Parks Canada’s oldest administered national historic site! Engage all your senses - sing “O Canada” as you proudly watch the flag raised at Town Hall; join Parks Canada’s mascot, Parka, in the procession to the fort; enjoy a piece of cake; set out your blanket for a picnic and enjoy the musical entertainment. A fun-filled day for whole family starting at 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. For more details click here.

Celebrate Canada 150 at Pier 21 Halifax
Celebrate our country’s 150th anniversary with the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 – home to a world of stories honouring the immigrants who helped shape the Canada we know today. From welcoming home the Museum’s Canada: Day 1 exhibit, to hands-on workshops and lively performances, join us for special Canada 150 events and programs at Pier 21 throughout 2017. New Germany Canada Day
7-10am Canada Day Breakfast at the Anglican Church Hall, 9:30am Childrens Parade, 1pm Canada Day ox pull, 2pm Annual Street Parade, 4pm Garden Party, 5pm opening ceremonies, Presentation of Plaques to Parade finalists, 10:30pm Fireworks Display.  All happening around the Legion parking lot Have a great Canada Day everyone!!
