Well if the reviews are any indication - Friday the 13th will prove to be a very lucky day for fans of the Lemony Snicket series.

a-series-of-unfortunate-events-netflix-2017The Netflix original based on the children's novel series will be available for streaming on Friday, January 13, 2017 and we here at Sea And Be Scene will be doing just that.  And not just because it stars Emmy and Tony award winning actor Neil Patrick Harris as the evil Count Olaf.  We'll be watching for Gander, NL native Sara Canning!

A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS tell the story of "the three Baudelaire children who, after the loss of their parents in a mysterious fire, face trials and tribulations in their attempts to uncover dark family secrets."

The VAMPIRE DIARIES and REMEDY alum will appear in  episodes 3 and 4 of the 8 episode first season - "The Reptile Room" Parts 1 & 2.

And in big screen news... if you tuned into SABStv's Entertainment Round Up you'll know that we're beyond excited for Canning's turn in the highly anticipated WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES due to hit theatres July 17th.

As for Sara's other projects on the way this year - you can count on the comedy film WELCOME TO NOWHERE and the dramatic feature PRODIGALS,  and according to her IMDb page she's set to begin filming a horror movie entitled BLITZED this summer.  Never a dull moment for Ms.Canning and we love celebrating the lot of it!
