Mother Goose / French for Fun Program- Petit de Grat Library

THE LONE STAR LOVE POTION - Centre Stage Theatre, Kentville

This play has mature content - The Lone Star Love Potion is a full-length farce by Michael Parker. When a wealthy Texas rancher dies, his heirs gather for the reading of his will, which will bequeath the huge estate and a thermos full of a reputed love potion. When a rainstorm floods the nearby creek and forces the guests to stay overnight in the mansion, they secretly test the love potion, which results in hilarious hi-jinks and multiple embraces. 13th Annual Pre-Shrunk Show - Argyle Fine Art, Halifax

The annual Pre-Shrunk show is by far one of Halifax’s favourite art shows and the perfect way to kick off the New Year in style.
The only rule for participating artists is that all the works included must measure 4" x 5".

Studio 21 presents a selection of paintings from Romeo Savoie, New Brunswick’s senior abstract painter and a pivotal figure in the development of Acadian culture in New Brunswick. Some of the larger pieces, representing several decades of determined art-making, have been previously exhibited elsewhere. The smaller works are recent. But each time a selection is made from this artist, the personality of his lifelong experiment with art emerges in a different way. Truro Winter Long John Festival- various venues
The annual Winter Long John Festival is a week-long event hosted by Truro Parks, Recreation and Culture, which offers an opportunity to get families outside to appreciate what the Town of Truro has to offer in the winter time. It’s a chance to get out and get some fresh air and exercise as well as meet people in the neighborhood. Long Johns are a natural fit for a winter festival, particularly in Truro where, in some ways Truro has become synonymous with long johns and underwear because of the Stanfield’s plant..
