Revue Rising Tide Theatre 2016 - various venues
Runs - March 10
500x773-revue_2016_-poster-webAt Rising Tide we’ve started to dissect the year for REVUE 2016. We’re turning this sow’s ear into a silk purse.  It’s like peeling and onion and it brought tears to our eyes. It’s been such a happy year in the Happy Province.  Happy? We’re so happy we could… speaking of which, don’t miss RTT’s Tales from the Crapper featuring Paul Lane in “The Telltale Fart”, David Barzil as “THE FLY” (Help me! Help me!), and Earle McCurdy as “The Invisible Man”. Revue opens the show in St. John’s in January, and for the first time, will also close the show in St. John’s at the end of the tour in March.  It started in 1984 as a three-night show, a commentary on the events of the previous year and a way to give Newfoundlanders a collective sense of who we are and how our great sense of humor keeps us sane. Now into its 33rd season, Revue continues to fill the province's Arts and Culture Centres and beyond.  Click here for more details

Constellations - LSPU Hall St.John's
February 23 - 25

Constellations is a two-person show that presents a single relationship, between the characters Marianne and Roland, as a series of possibilities. The characters are seen to recreate, slightly, several important moments from their relationship. They meet, fall in love, get married or they meet, don’t fall in love, and don’t get married. They stay together, they break up. It’s an ingenious piece of theatre that allows for multiple views of the same two people. Central to the story that slowly unfolds, is that the couple is also forced to deal with the ultimate reality of life: death. For more info & tickets click here

GREASE - St.John's Arts & Culture Center
February 23 - 25
Follow the adventures of Rydell’s Class of 1959. Danny and Sandy had a brief summer romance, never expecting they would see each other again in their senior year at the same high school. What happens after is a series of ups and downs both them and their friends go through until they hit graduation day. Come follow the exploits of the Pink Ladies and the T-Birds with some of the catchiest tunes and best known stories from Broadway. After all, there are “worse things you could do!” Prince of Wales Collegiate has a long standing tradition of bringing Broadway productions to the St. John's theatre scene. Beginning with Fiddler on the Roof in 2000, the high school has recently brought you shows such as Fame, Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, and Rent. Once more, they give their students the opportunity to showcase their passion and excellence in musical theatre with Grease. Follow along on Facebook for updates on this exciting production.
