Michael Pendergast, The Music Man- The Guild Theatre, Charlottetown
With his many accordions, engaging presence and repertoire of children’s songs, Pendergast will present a mixture of songs, old songs that seem new and new songs that sound like they've been around. Popalopalots Live Improv Comedy- The Guild Main Stage
Utilizing a variety of improv games, The Popalopalots create scenes, characters, and situations all right on the spot based on audience suggestions. This can lead to awkward, compromising, and often hilarious outcomes. Join Sketch22 veterans Rob MacDonald and Graham Putnam, as well as their fellow comedians Jordan Cameron, Ben Hartley, Cameron MacDonald, and Dylan Miller as they perform never-before-seen and never-seen-again improvised sketches and scenes! Victorian Christmas Weekend- Charlottetown
Step back in time and immerse yourself in a storybook Christmas setting during Charlottetown's Victorian Christmas Weekend. Home for the Holidays - Harbourfront Theatre, Summerside
Returning to Harbourfront Theatre on Friday, December 9, 7:30 pm, is Home for the Holidays featuring all the best of popular Christmas and holiday music performed by some of PEI’s finest singers : Joey Kitson, Catherine O’Brien and Caroline Bernard backed up by a great band, The Reindeer Express, featuring Deryl Gallant, bass, Alan White, drums, Don Fraser, keyboards, and Perry Williams, guitar. MARITIME MARIONETTES - Harbourfront Theatre
Maritime Marionettes presents the favourite folktale, originating from the Grimms’ fairy tale, of an aging donkey who follows his dream to become a musician. On the road to Bremen town, he befriends a dog, a cat and a rooster, who like him, are no longer needed as farm animals. Together they form a comical quartet and a bond that will last the rest of their lives. Featuring the talents of master puppeteers Darryll and Heather Taylor, the visuals of the show are performed with eloquent shadow puppets, exquisitely made marionettes and the Taylor’s masterful manipulation. The inspiring soundtrack combines bedtime story style narration, whimsical music and side splitting animal sounds. From the opening scene to the hilarious and touching ending, this timeless tale of friendship and enthusiasm for life will inspire and entertain the child in us all. Choral Music Programme: Sing Along Messiah - Kirk of St. James
Admission by donation in support of the Youth Chorus Tour to Rome and Naples, Italy. During this popular festive event presented by the Confederation Singers, the audience is encouraged to "sing along" with the choir as it performs parts of Handel's most famous choral work. For more info click here
Santa’s Angels Fundraiser- Gary’s Sequenced Christmas Lights, Johnstons River

Come and see a house lit up with 3 thousand + lights dancing as they are sequenced with Christmas music. Santa’s Angels – a 100% volunteer-based group that provides a surprise Christmas morning to families in the Charlottetown area that are not able, for one reason or another, to provide Christmas gifts and food for their children. NEW YEARS EVE - Charlottetown
The free, family friendly event, Capital New Year – First Night 150, will take place on Great George Street with Province House as the backdrop, where the Fathers of Confederation first arrived and conceived the idea of Canada as a nation. The celebration will include stage performances, two pyrotechnic displays and indoor and outdoor entertainment. The evening will start with family-focused activities from 5:30 p.m. until approximately 7:45 p.m., but the party will continue until midnight with more adult oriented entertainment and a unique pyrotechnic show to help ring in the New Year.
