St. John’s Farmer’s Market- Lion’s Chalet
Every Saturday until December 18
It is a busy season at the St. John’s Farmers Market. New vendors and more farmers are making the Market a great opportunity to find a wide selection of high quality products; all fresh and locally produced. Tibb's Eve by Step Taylor - Resource Centre for the Arts St.John's

Trevor returns to his teensy hometown of Heart’s Harbour, NL after seven years living away. Unbeknownst to him, it is Tibb’s Eve and there’s a shed party on the go that is definitely full of booze, drugs, and distractions, but may also contain traces of otherworldly mischief, magic, and transformation. On this seductively chaotic “night that doesn’t exist” in the middle of nowhere, Trevor and friends (both old and new) will either face the consequences of their choices, or utterly abandon life as they know it. Bay Roberts Festival of Lights
On until January 6
The Festival of Lights is a collection of community events that celebrate the season of Christmas. A two time National Winters Lights winner, the festival hosts the largest Nativity collection east of Montreal and the provinces first and largest intelligent light park. Boasting two Santa Claus parades, one in the day and one at night. Come a "mummering" at an old fashion concert! Our Divas Do Christmas - St. John’s Arts & Culture Centre

This is the largest Christmas show in the province featuring an impressive list of singers, dancers, aerialists, and musicians, performing holiday favorites. Our new 2016 show features rock & roll, country, classical, Irish, and inspirational segments, alongside the ever popular Rockettes style kick line. Ed and Ed's Newfoundland Christmas Concert - Corner Brook A&C

Let Theatre Newfoundland Labrador put you in the Christmas Spirit with an old time Newfoundland Christmas concert. Hosting will be the wise-cracking, hilarious Ed and Ed. Skits, songs, carols and even a sing-a-long! Breakfast with Santa- Recreation Centre, Portugal Cove St. Philip's
Two time slots: 9am -10am and 10:30am to 11:30am - $5 each or $20 per family. Bring your whole family to breakfast with Santa, as the big guy himself drops by to greet the children. Breakfast is continental style with a selection of fruit, cereals, waffles, yogurt, juices, teas and more. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture the memories! Register online through you eServices account. There are two time slots, be careful to register for the correct one you wish to attend. Christmas Parade- Portugal Cove St. Phillips
Volunteers will be collecting donations for the food bank and Canada Post will be taking special letters for Santa! Come out for a day of festive fun watching the parade. To find out more, go here.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL - LSPU Hall, St.John's
December 7 - 11
St. John’s Players are reviving this well-known tale, complete with its traditional Victorian setting and familiar characters. Ebenezer Scrooge, a ‘squeezing, wrenching, grasping man, who carries winter with him wherever he goes’, is visited by three spirits in. He sees his life past, present and future, laid out before him and, guided by them, chooses a new path to tread in life. Take a break from the Holiday rush and join us for this traditional dramatic telling of this holiday classic. Sometimes funny but also eerie and frightening; Dickens’ A Christmas Carol has been recreated for the whole family and will get you in a Yuletide mood. For tickets and show info click here.
Handel’s Messiah- Basilica of St. John the Baptist, St. John’s
A stellar cast of soloists joins the NSO Sinfonia, Philharmonic Choir of the NSO, and conductor Marc David for the NSO’s 2015 productions of Handel’s Messiah. Soprano Ellen McAteer, countertenor Daniel Taylor, tenor Benjamin Butterfield, and baritone Geoffrey Sirett have performed the world over, delighting audiences at every stop. The Ennis Sisters Christmas Tour 2016

Like so many Newfoundlanders, The Ennis Sisters have always celebrated Christmas with music. Nearly 20 years ago, they got their start singing Christmas Eve mass at Sacred Heart Church in their mother’s home town of Cape Broyle. Their concerts have come a Christmas tradition for so many - across the country and certainly in the homeland.
