The Ennis Sisters “Sing You Home”… REMEMBER

Posted: November 8, 2015

CBC NL in partnership with The Rooms and Lucky Productions have created a truly moving tribute to those loved and lost in war.

The award winning and wonderful Newfoundland family group - The Ennis Sisters honour fallen World War 1 soldiers by singing their lovely song "Sing You Home".

REMEMBER THEM I Will Sing You Home - still 1

The video was created as part of The Rooms' REMEMBER THEM Campaign leading up to the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Beaumont-Hamel on July 1, 2016.

Maureen, Karen and Teresa - always in perfect harmony - are accompanied beautifully by the Shalloway Choir for this updated version of their 2008 tune.

Penned by Maureen Ennis and Mark Murphy, the song was originally written following the death of the Ennis' cousin Steve - now lyrics have been altered slightly and French incorporated to further the theme of the campaign.
