The 35th Annual Atlantic Film Festival kicked off in grand style this year.
The Red Carpet Gala Opening was held at the lovely Rebecca Cohn in Halifax, Nova Scotia and on the big screen... HYENA ROAD marking it's Atlantic Premiere.
It was wonderful to have writer, director and star Paul Gross in attendance as well as one of our favourite NL fellas Allan Hawco.
The video above is our extended chat with Allan Hawco in which we discuss everything from his role in the action packed modern war drama HYENA ROAD to his faithful fans and his ever-changing facial hair.
Next up for Hawco a starring role alongside Molly Parker in 1970 SOMETHING. Bruce McDonald will direct the film that was written by Halifax playwright Daniel MacIvor. The Nova Scotia based, Marc Almon produced project is already underway with locations in Halifax, Windsor and Cape Breton.
We'll have lots more on 1970 SOMETHING as production continues so stay tuned - in the meantime enjoy the interview above and make plans to see HYENA ROAD when it opens in theatres one week from today - October 9, 2015. SABS
