It's about that time of year when the REPUBLIC OF DOYLE team would normally be reassembling to create another season of hit TV.
Still can't believe the show is done and we're left to wallow on Wednesdays - waiting 'til the DOYLE movie comes out (who knows when).
In the meantime though - a glimmer of goodness as we've got some cool news to share from series star Krystin Pellerin (aka Leslie Bennett).
I received a lovely note from the Mount Pearl, NL girl herself in which she told me she's heading back to St.John's to star in the short film TOUCH.
"I'm going home to work with Noel Harris. Noel and I worked on DOYLE together for 6 seasons and now a lot of the crew from the show are coming together to make this inspired short film. I'm playing Connie, a single mother of two in the grips of poverty.
We'll be in rehearsals and shooting from April 14th to the 21st. I'm really looking forward to going home and working with everyone again." KP
The Toronto based actress - will also make her Stratford stage debut this year. Krystin told me she's thrilled to be starring as Joyce in John Mighton's play "Possible Worlds". Rehearsals begin May 20/15 and "Possible Worlds" will open July 15th and runs until October - visit statfordfestival.ca for show and ticket information.
Oh and please stay tuned for the return of the The Pellerin Post to seaandbescene.com - Wahoo!!! SABS
