Best Love Songs Ever – ECMA edition

It’s February and we’re all about LOVE, and while it was our intent to publish a list of the "Top 10 Most Romantic Songs by East Coast Artists... EVER" – we ran into a bit of a stumbling block.

East Coast Love Songs sbAfter reviewing the posts to our Facebook and the emails submitted – it would seem as though there are almost as many favourites as there are great artists from this part of the world…and thus our challenge to ranking them.

So rather that giving you a 1 to 10 kind of thing…we’ll give you this opportunity to post your 2 cents – to share the LOVE so to speak.

We hope you’ll take a moment to fill in the comment form with your choice of Most Romantic song by an East Coast Artist Ever.

Hank SnowWe launched this post featuring Dave Gunning’s "Saltwater Hearts” video, then we changed it to "Fare Thee Well Love" by the Rankin Family (a favourite of PEI band Paper Lions...truly) and many others, then it was Anne Murray's "You Needed Me" an e-mail favourite for sure.

Now - we bring you a classic by the late great Hank Snow... a favourite of ours and SABS Chairman of the board Jack Swinimer - hope you enjoy "A Fool Such as I"

We look forward to your comments... keep checking back to what more there is to love! SABS

  11. I have 2 songs to nominate: 1) "This is the Life" by Grassmarket (from Port City). This happy song will make you want to find your love and enjoy some time together. 2) "Wish I Was" by Barry Canning (from Last Man Standing). A beautiful song about being away and wishing you were home.
