All New REPUBLIC OF DOYLE “If the Shoe Fits”

Posted: January 28, 2014

Happy Doyle Eve to you all!

Yes - only one more night until our favourite night of the week, but let's be clear... these are bitter sweet days for us Doyle fans. While we know we're one day closer to another new show...we also know we're one week closer to the season's finale...and then there's that long stretch between S5 and S6....sigh.

BUT let's stay positive for there are many reasons – take for instance the double dose of Jake and the gang slated for finale night February 5th.  That's right - 2 hours of back to back goodness.  Just imagine the drama... the laughs... the love... sigh.

REPUBLIC OF DOYLE ep 514 If the Shoe Fits - Mark O'Brien and Allan Hawco

BUT first we've got tomorrow night's killer episode to look forward to -
Episode 514 If The Shoe Fits and here's the official scoop...

When Des (Mark O’Brien) buys the contents of an unclaimed storage locker, he can only imagine the possibilities of what’s inside – but what he and Jake actually find there neither could have dreamed up. Jake (Allan Hawco) and Des cross paths with Toronto cop Bill Murdoch (Yannick Bisson) on a strange kidnapping case, but Jake’s not sure this mainland officer is telling them the whole truth. Sloan’s (Lola Tash) bid to make some money doesn’t go as planned and the consequences could prove costly; Leslie (Krystin Pellerin) shoulders the weight of new responsibility; Mal (Sean McGinley) avoids unwanted family obligations and Des goes to new lengths in a tricky situation."

MURDOCH MYSTERIES Republic of Murdoch Yannick Bisson and Allan Hawco

So YES - you read that right – the talented and dreamy Yannick Bisson will guest star - returning the cross-over favour so to speak! Sure hope you all tuned in to see Mr.Hawco travel back in time on MURDOCH MYSTERIES Ep.708 "Republic of Murdoch" ( click here to watch if you missed it). You might say then, that this week, Mr.Bisson journeys to the future to join Jake – love it!

Sara Canning guest stars in REPUBLIC OF DOYLE If the Shoe FitsAlso be on the look out for the return of Gander, NL's Sara Canning as medical examiner Jessica Dwyer.  Now, as a card carrying member of the #JakeandLeslie4ever team I'm not so thrilled with her character – but she's great in the role and if you're a fan like we are - be watching for her new show hospital drama series REMEDY when it premieres on February 24/14 – stay tuned for more SABS news on that series.

Oh, and here's another cool return to the Republic to note...  not seen 'round these parts since Ep. 205 “Something Old Something New” award-winning and awesome actor Aaron Poole reprises his role as Chad.

AARON POOLE guest stars on REPUBLIC OF DOYLE Something Borrowed and ep514 If the Shoe Fits

He looks a lot different now, but that's him. Just last November, we caught up to Aaron on the the Nova Scotia set of his forthcoming feature film RELATIVE HAPPINESS - click here to watch that special.

REPUBLIC OF DOYLE guest star Chantal Craig - IF THE SHOE FITSAnd one more guest star of note.... actress Chantal Craig (aka Mrs. Yannick Bisson) – we can't say much about her character, but we can say tune in to CBC tomorrow/ Wednesday, January 29 at 9 pm (9:30 NT) to see “If the Shoe Fits” for yourself!!!
