Where’s your favourite place in Newfoundland & Labrador to grab a coffee?

I really like going to Fixed on Duckworth Street, next to the War Memorial. It has great coffee, a wonderful atmosphere but it’s not just that. That place holds a lot of great memories for me as well. I spent a lot of time there (pre Fixed) when I worked as First Time Filmmaker Mentor at NIFCO (Newfoundland Independent Filmmakers Cooperative). Came up with a lot of story ideas, had a lot of fun times with friends and colleagues. It has a special significance and I’m a softy at heart when it comes to that.

Where’s your favourite place in Newfoundland & Labrador to grab a pint?

Erin’s Pub - Always loved this pub especially now that my buddy Chris Andrews (Shanneyganock) has taken over with GBS’s Bob Hallett. Great spot to chat, listen to some great NL or Irish music. LOVE IT!

Where’s your favourite place to shop in Newfoundland & Labrador?

There are so many local places to shop. But in the profession that I’m in I would have to say Henry’s and Newfoundland camera.

Where in Newfoundland & Labrador would we stand to see your favourite view?

That is probably one of the hardest questions to answer. There are so many beautiful views to choose from. From Port Rexton’s Fisher’s Loft view to Eastport’s Salvage Bay, the Southern Shore communities of Tors Cove and Brigus South. It’s a tough call. There’s a road half way up Signal Hill that leads you to a wonderful view of St. John’s.. Great place to relax and reflect.

Name 3 things we’ve gotta do when we visit Newfoundland & Labrador:

1. Attend the Nickel Independent Film Festival

2. Visit Sandy Cove Beach and Gros Morne National Park.

3. Eat at Cathedral Street Bistro

What makes Newfoundland & Labrador such a special place on earth for you?

It’s home. It’s my life! Newfoundland is a part of me, it’s in my soul. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. It’s the sense of knowing that this is where I belong. I love Newfoundland with every ounce I have to give.
