…the purrrrfect show for the mid-winter blah-humbugs

Opening Reception is THIS FRIDAY, February 15th, 7pm. Show continues until March 12th

(HALIFAX)- Yes. The rumours are true…the cat’s out of the bag. After years of dancing around a thought, yes, years of toying with the idea, we’ve finally succumbed to a project which has haunted us for so long: Argyle Fine Art will be hosting “CAT PERSON: A Show all About Cats” opening this Friday, February 15th, 7pm.

The show will continue until March 12th and be online for those of you that can’t be in here in person or for a second or third glance at, after the show has officially launched.

There are just over 30 artists participating from a wide range of backgrounds and mediums and prices, and of course, with a love of cats! If you are able, please bring a donation of cat food to the show! We will donate all food to the Halifax Cat Rescue Society, to help them with all the good work they do. Read about them at their website:

Go ahead and LAUGH! But the simple truth is, we really love cats. A lot. And we're pretty sure many of you do too. So join us for this incredible show about our small furry family members.

CHATTY CATTY: Interviews with Cats are online at our blog at . So far we have interviewed the cats of artists Bryanna Chapeskie, Nick Brunt and Rita Van Tassel…with more to come!  This week you will also be able to catch a glimpse of this CAT PERSON show on CTV LIVE with Heidi Petracek, on Friday morning if you’re an early bird!

CATS on the BIG SCREEN: Want to see your photos of your very own kitty cat? Upload them to TWITTER via Instagram or your TWITTER FEED to hashtag #halifaxcatperson. We'll compile all the images and make your cat a STAR on the big screen in our gallery windows the night leading up the show.
