Halifax Grown Series “SEED” to Premiere

Posted: January 22, 2013

We at Sea and be Scene love when film and TV productions chose our corner of the world to do their thing.

SEED on CityTVJust this past fall the West Coast based production company Force Four Entertainment traveled east... to Halifax, Nova Scotia to shoot their brand new series - SEED.

The 13 episode comedy began filming last October and wrapped on December 13 - now we're just days away from the premiere.

Here's the published premise...

"SEED is a half-hour comedy following Harry (Adam Korson) a likeable bachelor and bartender whose previous foray into sperm donation has resulted in offspring he was unaware of – until now.

SEED cast

This ill-equipped bachelor finds himself entangled in the lives of his new-found children and their less-than-thrilled families – a lesbian couple (Amanda Burgel/Michelle  & Stephanie Anne Mills/Zoey) and their 9-year-old oddball son (William Ainscough/Billy), an up-tight, upper-class husband (Matt Baram/Jonathan) and wife (Laura De Carteret/Janet) and their rebellious teenage daughter (Abby Ross/Anastasia), and an impulsive single woman (Carrie-Lynn Neales/Rose) with a ticking biological clock.

Irene (Vanessa Matsui) is the owner/manager of the tavern where Harry works and is also his longtime friend.  She's responsible for the inception of the sperm donor for cash idea, but she's totally against him to get involved with his offspring."
