Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a coffee?

Halifax Backpakers/AlterEgo Café on Gottingen Street in Halifax or Two If By Sea in Dartmouth and now on the Halifax Waterfront!

Where’s your favourite place in Nova Scotia to grab a pint?

I’m a big fan of the patios and bars along Argyle street so I’d have to say The Carleton or The Seahorse Tavern. Freeman’s (Quinpool), Tom’s Little Havana and Rogue’s Roost are in the running as well.

Where’s your favourite place to shop in Nova Scotia?

I tend to spend most of what little money I have on music, so Obsolete Records and Taz Records are hot spots for me.

Where in Nova Scotia would we stand to see your favourite view?

Cape Blomidon ranks pretty high on my list!

Name 3 things we’ve gotta do when we visit Nova Scotia:

1. See live music! Nova Scotia has an incredible music scene and you should take advantage of it!

2. Go on a random adventure – pick a highway and start driving. The scenery is enough to keep you interested, but there’s always great little cafes, thrift stores, and historical sites that might pop up!

3. Walk the Halifax Waterfront – grab an ice cream, a Beaver Tail, or stop for a pint overlooking the harbour.

What makes Nova Scotia such a special place on earth for you?

I grew up in Alberta, but my family is from Newfoundland and Nova Scotia so it allows me to remain close to my roots. I attended University at Acadia and fell in love with this province. What keeps me here and happy, though, is the incredible sense of community and the unbelievable music scene!
