The 2012 Canadian Country Music Association Awards will broadcast live from Saskatoon, SK on Sunday, September 9. It's a night to honour the very best in the nation and today the official list of this year's nominees was released.
We're pleased to bring you the list in its entirety - because as always we hold firm - it's an honour just to be nominated, but first we want to recognize the tremendous talents who hail from this corner of the country.
The awesome Atlantic Canadians up for 2012 CCMA trophies are... Jason Barry NB, Ridley Bent NS, Tara Oram NL, Jimmy Rankin NS, and of course Dean Brody our adopted NS brother!
Hey and a special shout out to NB's Shilo Bellis from XL 96.9 in Moncton - he's up for Music Director of the Year in a secondary market. Cool!
CBC will carry the event on Sept. 9 and CMT offer encore airings in the week that follows.
Set to perform on the show are Jason Aldean, Gord Bamford, Paul Brandt, Dean Brody, Chad Brownlee, George Canyon, Eric Church, Terri Clark, High Valley, Miranda Lambert, Pistol Annies, Johnny Reid and Deric Ruttan.
