The New Brunswick Summer Music Festival celebrates the finest in professional classical chamber music with East Coast audiences.
Since its beginning in 1994, the festival has featured the top Canadian talent together with established regional performers.
This festival is one of a kind in the nation. The special twist that makes it unique is the two composer format. Each year the “focus is to present the music of two specific composers each season, one well known and one less so.”
This year the festival is featuring one of Canada’s most frequently commissioned composers Talivaldis Kenins and the French born composer of the masterpiece La Mer, and many other great works, Claude Debussy.
The New Brunswick Summer Music Festival runs August 13 – 25th at various venues throughout Fredericton with everything from free concerts in the park, to house concerts and a 20th Anniversary event at Memorial Hall on the UNB campus featuring pianist Peter Allen.
Classical music lovers – you won't want to miss a minute.
Make plans and be there! SABS
