A SWEET RELEASE
(New Glasgow, NS, July 5, 2012) – The New Glasgow Riverfront Jubilee announced details today for an Adopt a Fan program for its August 3-5 event.
The Adopt a Fan program allows individuals to share the Jubilee spirit by putting a pass in the hands of someone who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to attend.
Adopt a Fan tickets can be purchased for youth or adults in single or multiple quantities.
The Jubilee will distribute the passes to a number of front line community service organizations in Pictou County including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kids First and The Department of Community Services.
“The idea for the program came from a number of conversations we have had over the past several years and from a desire to keep the event as accessible as possible for as many people as possible,” says Carlton Munroe, Executive Director. “We’re proud that this program instills a sense of sharing around music and community celebration.”
The Executive Director of Kids First, Michelle Ward said, “We are pleased to be a part of the Adopt a Fan program. It is a fabulous way to provide a family the opportunity to take part in the unique Jubilee experience.”
In recognition, purchasers will be recognized as a Jubilee Adopt a Fan Sponsor on the Jubilee website or can remain anonymous. Businesses that purchase multiple passes can have their logos included on the web page.
Adopt a Fan tickets are only available for purchase online through Ticketpro.ca.
The New Glasgow Riverfront Jubilee is a three-day music festival August 3-5th. The Jubilee acknowledges the financial support of the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage: Building Communities through Arts and Heritage Program.
