When I started Sea and be Scene it was always with the goal of celebrating everything that makes Atlantic Canada so special and at the heart of that celebration is most definitely the people.
I have met so many great folks and look forward to meeting many more as the journey continues – the sweetest part is the friendships I've made along the way.
One such fortuitous break was meeting Janice Landry – although truth be told we'd met before the site started up, I can honestly say it is because of Sea and be Scene that our connection grew stronger and now I'm among the lucky crew she calls 'friends'.
A familiar face to so many on the East Coast having spend 12 years working with CTV-Atlantic (and co-hosting Christmas Daddies telethons), she now runs her own dynamic company Groundhog Productions and has been a part-time faculty member at Mount Saint Vincent University for more than a decade.
She's also a very proud mom to a beautiful and busy daughter Laura – so it's fair to say Janice has a LOT on the go!
And now... always passionate about writing and story telling, Janice has most recently added 'Published Author' to her long and impressive resume.
“Fares emigrated from Diman, Lebanon, escaping civil war as a teenager, studied engineering at the former TUNS (Technical University of Nova Scotia) and Dalhousie University, and is now one of the most successful developers in Atlantic Canada.”
Add this book to your must-read list and join us in saluting Janice Landry on another wonderful achievement! SABS
