Pinch Penny Fair - Confederation Centre, Charlottetown
Date: April 21
The Pinch Penny Fair returns for its 44th year this weekend, and The Friends of the Confederation Centre invites everyone to drop by the annual fundraiser. The Fair includes a giant flea market, silent auction, baked goods, live entertainment, plenty of fun children’s activities and more. The Fair takes place April 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Confederation Centre of the Arts. Admission is $2 for adults, and there is no charge for children 12 and under. Donations are most welcome up until Friday evening and may be dropped off at the Confederation Centre’s Richmond St. entrance. Items of interest include: tools, gardening supplies, plants, household items, sports equipment, jewellery, books, art and small furniture will be accepted. Clothing and computers will not be accepted. Proceeds from the Fair support the programs of The Friends and the Confederation Centre. Some examples of Friends' sponsorships include Art-to-the-Schools, children's art activities, the Festive Wreath Exhibit, support of the Youth Chorus, and other special projects to assist the Centre. www.charlottetownfestival.com
