Congratulations to Petitcodiac, New Brunswick's IVAN DAIGLE!

After an emotionally charged performance on Sunday night – Ivan moved the nation and earned the top audience votes for this week's round of Canada's Got Talent. If you missed it - just click here to watch it now.

You could tell just by following his tweets leading up to his trip to Toronto, on show day through to last night's broadcast of the results... it was clear he was living every minute of this experience to the fullest. I caught up to him on Twitter last night via direct message and here's that exchange.

You didn't have to look further than Ivan Daigle's twitter account @IvanDaigle to recognize he was thrilled to be a part of Sunday evening's semi-final competition of Canada's Got Talent.

Host Dina Pugliese with Ivan Daigle April 22, 2012The Country singer from Petitcodiac, NB took his place centre stage last night (04/22/12) in Toronto, ON.

(If you missed the show you can watch it by clicking here - look for Ivan's segment at the  31:00 minute mark.)

With his very moving (and at times downright emotional) performance of the Eric Church hit “Love Your Love the Most”... it's fair to say he has won the hearts of the judges.

Martin Short said “I loved the sincerity of your emotion” and Steven Moccio said it was “honest and genuine – I am a fan of you”. Fellow New Brunswicker Measha Brueggergosman also had some advice for Ivan on performing through those emotional moments, but went on to say it was "wonderful and real".

Canada's Got Talent Judges - Steven Moccio, Measha Bruegergosman & Martin ShortAll three judges were in agreement with respect to Ivan's style and echoed Measha's comment “I would love to have Country (music) in this competition – I would love to see you do very well”.

With four other very different acts also doing their thing last night – tonight's results show will be an interesting one indeed.

The only thing we can be sure of is that our vote goes to Ivan Daigle and our East Coast Contingent! SABS
