"It is always a challenge when you are putting on unique events to improve from one year to the next, but with Ron and Barney already confirmed and few other artists still to come, we are confident that this years event will surpass last year and more Nova Scotia homes will be built by Habitat for Humanity,” said Stuart Joliffe, Regional Vice President, Atlantic Canada, Delta Hotels and Resorts, and General Manager, Delta Halifax and Delta Barrington. “Giving back to the community and having a lot of fun doing it is very rewarding for all our colleagues, partners and friends."
The Raise a Little Hellp event is part of Delta’s year-long Good Neighbours Challenge, which seeks to raise $1 million and donate 15,000 volunteer hours to local charitable causes from coast-to-coast. The Challenge will focus on four main areas: improving access to affordable housing, protecting the environment, supporting neighbourhood causes and volunteering. Whether it is building a home for a family in need with Habitat for Humanity, hosting a food drive or planning a community car wash, Delta is committed to making a difference - one hour and one dollar at a time.
