The East Coast Music Association offers free App for East Coast Music Week 2012
(Charlottetown, PE) -- The East Coast Music Association has developed a free web based App for East Coast Music Week 2012 (April 11-15) in Moncton, New Brunswick.
The App will give constant updates on artists, showcases, venues and delegates and will feature a tab that will include information for volunteers, registration, ticketing information, as well as sponsorship information.
The App is available for touch-mobile devices such as Blackberry, iPhone, iPad, and Android phones. Up to date versions of Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Safari will also be able to run the App on desktop computers.
“We’re really excited about this tool and believe that it will enhance the ECMA experience for fans, artists, and buyers a like,” said Aaron Hicken, IT Manager and lead on the project. “As this is a first for ECMA, we encourage feedback from all users of the App to sculpt the program for future ECMA events”.
This marks the first time in ECMA history that a special App has been created for shows and ceremonies. The App will be web based and is not available through App stores on mobile devices. Currently the program is solely available online, however closer to the event a downloadable version will be made available (periodic updates may be required if changes are made to scheduling).
The public and anyone using the App can check out the ECMA Twitter feed to track #eastcoastmusic and #ecmw2012 tags to join conversation on showcases, conferences and special impromptu events.
The app is accessible by visiting: http://topquark.com/ecma/app or by scanning the QR code here or on most East Coast Music Week 2012 signage.
