East Coast Shines on CANADA’S GOT TALENT
Posted: March 19, 2012
You’ve gotta love an opening that includes a regional endorsement from one of the judges…
Yes, it was given by NB's own Measha Brueggergosman, but despite any ‘home team’ pre-disposition – you can’t argue… the lady knows her stuff!
“I fully predict the winner will come from the Maritimes” Measha said entering the Rebecca Cohn last October “Bring it on Halifax.”
And so they did.
Last night’s episode of Canada’s Got Talent featured an all East Coast first half that included...
Yodeller and Musician Francelle Maria & Mathieu Leger NB, Dance group La Baie en Joie NS, Father & Sons Christian singing group OneBlood NS, Singer Songwriter Michael Redden NS, Pop/Rock Group Angry Candy NB, Musician Jason Hanrahan NL and Singer Songwriter Ivan Daigle NB. All will be moving onto the next round.
Just making it this far... the opportunity for national exposure on this level... is cause for celebration!
But just for the record, we here at SABS are confident that Measha nailed it with her prediction!
Stay tuned for more updates. SABS

You can’t deny the talent of Petitcodiac, New Brunswick’s Ivan Daigle. His rendition of “Raymond” brought the judges to their feet and tears to the eyes of most of the audience. We found the acoustic performance (featured above), in more casual surroundings, on YouTube – it’s the full song and it’s phenomenal. ENJOY!
